Salt Lake City Trains Employees to LEED the Way to a Greener City

Green Education Services, a green building education provider, recently trained thirty-six Salt Lake City employees on USGBC’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design in a push to educate the city’s Planning and Building Review department on green building and planning strategies.Â

LEED for Data Centers Coming Soon?

Data centers are energy hogs, but the country’s most prominent green building standard, LEED, doesn’t adequately address their special design considerations. That looks set to change, however, as the U.S. Green Building Council, which develops LEED, is considering tailoring existing LEED rating systems to evaluate green data centers.
