The Federal Trade Commission has recently expressed renewed interest in regulating environmental marketing claims for consumer products. In addition to increasing its enforcement efforts, the FTC is evaluating the need to regulate renewable energy-related consumer products, such as carbon offsets and renewable energy credits.
